It took me 2.6 hours to finish this game in +hints mode. It's a traditional point and click adventure with a horror setting. In this game to make progress in story mode you will have to go through some mini puzzle games like, find the objects, match the objects, match the broken pieces etc and sometimes this puzzle games can be very tiring and repetitive. Like all other point and click adventure game you will have to collect the right item and use it for the right situation. There is nothing new.Story is not that good and voice acting is so-so. But, background music is good. This game's music will give you the horror feeling and it matches with the game perfectly.In the end I kinda enjoyed this game in my own way. I think its a good puzzle/educational game for kids and they will definitely enjoy this game. To be honest the current price for this game is kinda high. But, buy this game if its for your kid or in sale or in bundle.. This game has some decent hidden-object scenes.Otherwise, it's quite bad. The story, script, voice acting, and puzzles are very mediocre.There is no map, so you will have to constantly backtrack for the humdrum point-and-click adventuring.The game engine is buggy: sometimes you click where you're supposed to and nothing happens, even in hidden-object scenes, and sound will repeat itself before finishing if you click on something more than once.. an ok HOG story is meh...i like the sound effects of the gamei didnt like the hitbox of the items... sometimes cant hit it even with spammingi give it 5/10still worth playing if u get it off a bundle and u really like HOGs... i recommend getting it off a bundlei dont recommend it for the full price. It's a very raw game. Story is nice although themes are too repetative (ghost - no ghost).No map, so you have to go back an forth all the time with no shortcuts.Graphics are ok. Very minimal. Hidden object scenes are easy, but a bit frustrating as the game doesn't always recognise the click placing. Puzzle games, just boring with no challenge or interest. Hope other / next games from the developer are better.. Ok to start lets forget for a minute that there is no map. Now don't get me wrong I absolutly love Hidden Objsct Game, this is the worst one I have ever played. The hit dectection on some of the objest is absolutly horrible i spent 20 minutes trying to click on a lizard! I figured oh i must have the wrong item, used a hint nope right item just had to find that one pixel to click on! Some of the puzzels that they love to reuse are made my the devil himself. Also the hints are vague at best which will lead you to running around the whole map trying to find out where your suppose to place/use objects, which lead back to there is NO MAP! I spent more time running around trying to figure out what i was trying to do than doing things in this game! Now i went out of my way to finish this thing that at this point i refuse to call a game, it was more like a true test of endurance and patience, but if for some reason you just HAVE to play this "game" use the walkthrough. Honestly though just save your money, getting it for free will make you feel ripped off.. As Hidden Object games go, this one is pretty boring. It seems lazy once you start doing the Hidden Object mini-games, the cutouts are bad on the object and the Hit Box is really off. But the absolutely worst offence is that the villain is not scary og mystical, he's just boring and feels un-necessary. But it's cheap and I did manage to play through the whole game and I'm glad I did. If you are into boring HOG's then give it a go, otherwise there are so many better and involving games out there.. Pretty good hidden object game. It was a decent length and the graphics have been updated to run on my current system with a resolution of 1920x1200. If you love hidden object games this one is a go.. So a hidden object game, and if you know the genre you probably know what to expect more or less - the story is fairly perfunctory, the few animations of characters are bad, the hidden object scenes are decent if overused, the in game logic is as random as nearly all such games - one minute you are psychically picking up and keeping items you have no idea you need yet (at least in this case you could argue some slight justification in the story for this), the next you seem to have thrown away the last 15-20 hammers you have picked up during the story so far and now need another one, etc.The main good points here are that the graphics are pretty decent, none of the scenes will really have you squinting to try and determine what something is, the point and click segments mostly make sense and flow from each other without having to backtrack too much. The weaker points are the lack of a map and the hint system is very general (it tells you what you need to do next accurately, but it isn't always obvious where you have to go or where to find an item it says you need) - the lack of map isn't too bad though, as the game is fairly linear and you tend to mostly work in one area at a time, and it does have the plus of making it slightly more immersive than in other games in the genre where you just end up teleporting around chasing exclamation marks. The mini game puzzles are also very easy pretty much across the board, so don't expect to really stretch your brain here.It is perfectly playable (and currently ridiculously cheap), so if you want another HOG then this is a perfectly acceptable option if you aren't too picky.
